When I Saw My Valentine

The first day I saw you, I knew deep down inside you would be mine,
I felt this in my heart, I wanted you for all time,
At first I thought you belonged to someone else, it's true,
But when I found I was mistaken, I knew it had to be you.

You went to my own school, but somehow I never knew,
My brothers neglected to tell me, what was I to do?
When I saw your eyes look into mine, I told myself this is the one,
I knew you must have felt the same, my heart you truly won.

As the years pass quickly by and our family continues to grow,
The love we share from year to year, in our hearts we truly know,
That our love will be forever, as the stars at night continue to shine,
As we said "I do" my heart was forever yours, as yours was mine.

No pretty flowers or candy boxes needed, to keep our love complete,
We can just cuddle close at night, say happy valentine with each
heartbeat,
Watch the moon shine brightly, listen to the whippoorwill softly sing,
Knowing in our hearts, this kind of lasting love, happiness doth bring.

I'll love you forever as I know in your heart, you feel the same,
So as we celebrate this beautiful day, thank you darling for giving me
your name,
And as we walk life's path together, may it be glorious all the way,
And here's hoping for you my darling, a very happy valentine's day.
