Whatsoever is Righteous

Lord, whatsoever righteous, let me hold onto, even unto the night.

Yet, until my soul doth depart this life and cometh to Thy sight.

For unto Thee, my Lord, I am bound, my mission found,

By Thy light coming into my soul, I was truly bound.

Let my heart and mind hold on, by the promise of security in Thee.

Since I was a child, came to the Altar to confess Thee, you see.

Satan tries, daily, almost to the death, to drag me down.

And sometimes, when I fail Thee, in tears I feel I could drown.

If not for Thee and Thy promise, once a good work Thou doth start,

Through all creation, from it’s presence, Thou doth not part.

Were it not for Thee Lord, how could we ever endeavor to go on?

But, we truly know it’s true, Thou art preparing for us a home.

In whatsoever is righteous, whatsoever is good, let me dwell . . .

From now on to forever, ‘til the twinkle of my Angel’s bell.

Whatsoever is righteous and good, Lord, let me see,

That wheresoever Thou art, Lord, that I may also be.
