In the Glimmering Starlight

In the glimmering starlight, as we look into each
others eyes,
I look at you and wonder,
how did you become so wise,
As to know just what to say and to treat me as
your lady fair?
Unless we met somewhere before, and you remembered me from
there.
I see the starlight shining in the depth of your eyes and wonder at
the
love I see,
I feel so very special when I'm with you, when its just you and me,
I feel the world would bow down if we bade
it to, you and I,
And in the moonlight, I feel so caught up, as though we could float
up
to the sky,
I feel the dew drops and imagine the trees are crying, not to have
a
love like mine,
But maybe its the glimmer of the starlight in your eyes that shine,
Surely there could be no teardrops, because of your sweet love for
me,
But maybe elated joy at all the
wondrous love they see.
Wait until tomorrow, when the sun shines bright as a miners
gold,
We shall go on forever, being the envy of every hungry lovers soul,
But let the moon shine down bright and clear, let the stars glimmer on,
Let the pine tree bend and listen, till it finally
drops a cone.
One day on some tomorrow, when we're stooped and heads
are gray,
Wouldn't you like to come back and remember this wondrous happy
day?
Crickets chirping in the starlight, as though they could see the miracle
of our love,
Sipping at the dewdrops and hopping on the tree branches up
above.
