An Arrow Into My Heart

He shot his arrow into my heart  . . .
The message said  . . .  let us never part.
We fell in love that awesome day  . . .
When I let your message, in my heart stay.

It caused my heart to ache, for only thee  . . .
And for a lifetime together we’d be.
My heart beats faster, when I know
That where you are, I shall go.

The trees bow, unto our sweet love  . . .
As we swing beneath the limbs above.
Surely all the world must know  . . .
Who causes my heart to have this glow

Cupid dealt a Mighty blow that will not part,
As he pierced the core, of my beating heart.
He asks that I be his sweet valentine  . . .
Walk with him through life, for all time.

We planned a wedding ... surely we did wed  . . .
We stated our love in all that we said.
Your arrow said, come walk through life with me,
Hold my hand  . . .  forever my love to be.

Though its been many years since your arrow . . .
Pierced my heart with true love for every ‘morrow.
As we’ve risen through the years at every dawn  . . .
Our hearts touch as, through life, we walk on.
